Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT) is a multi-academy trust that aims to provide high quality, dynamic education across Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
Responsible for 19 educational institutions, one of CMAT’s core objectives is to provide consistent, high quality learning environments for its students.
To help CMAT achieve this, 4D Monitoring partnered with an Elogs accredited M&E Maintenance Provider to deliver operational efficiencies across one of CMAT’s academies: Swavesey Village College.
Engineers installed 4D Monitoring technology within the college’s central plant, to measure heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. With performance data now visible via the CAFM platform, the maintenance provider used our system to identify boilers and pumps were operating outside of building occupancy hours, when they weren’t required.
By adjusting the Building’s control system to ensure the HVAC system operated in line with building occupancy, we were able to achieve an immediate 15% energy saving.
In a school environment such as that of Swavesey Village College, which provides an education to over 1000 students, it is essential that optimal working conditions are maintained at all times. 4D Monitoring is a retro-fit solution that can be deployed rapidly and non-intrusively, which makes it an ideal fit for any education site.
